Blaine Pat Nichols, 80, of Butler Mill Road, Oliver Springs, died Thursday at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Services were Friday night at Sharp Funeral Home Chapel in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Gary Smith and the Rev. Floyd Griffith officiating. Burial was Saturday in Oliver Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Nichols was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Coalfield. He was a lifelong resident of the area.
His parents George F. and Jennie Belle Ritter Nichols, and a granddaughter, Angela Suzanne Foster, preceded him in death.
Mr. Nichols was a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver before retiring after 22 years service. He also worked for Rust Engineering for six years.
Mr. Nichols and his wife were married Feb. 9, 1933, in Coalfield.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Nichols of Oliver Springs; two children, Blaine Pat Nichols Jr of Lexington and Wanda Nelson and her husband, Lonnie, of Oak Ridge; a granddaughter and her husband, Terry and David Al-Chockhachi, of Cordova; and several nieces and nephews.
