Earl Thomas O'Neal, 73, of Lenoir City, former Clinton resident, died Wednesday morning at his home. He was the father of Roy O'Neal of Clinton.

Mr. O'Neal was of the Baptist faith. He was a member and past president of the Lenior City VFW No. 5774, a member of Avery Lodge No. 593 F&AM and past president of the Little T squares.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Celia Huckaby O'Neal; a brother, Norman Edward O'Neal; and a sister, Mildred O'Neal Wampler.

Survivors also include his wife, Barbara Ashby O'Neal; sisters, Margaret Hooks, Axie Sarten, both of Lenoir City; Ruth McGill of Heiskell; several nieces and nephews and devoted cousins, Ralph and Dorothy Pendergraff of Toledo, Ohio.

Funeral services were held Friday night at Click's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Seay officiating. Masonic services were conducted by the Avery Lodge. A graveside service was held Saturday at City Cemetery with full military honors by the Loudon County Honor Guards.
