Edward Omer Ogle, 78, of Oliver Springs, died at his home on Thursday. A Blount County native, he was the son of the late Dora and G.B. Ogle.

Mr. Ogle was retired from Union Carbide, K-25 ORGDP. His favorite pastimes were gardening, fishing, and his great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Ogle of Oliver Springs; sons, J.B. Ogle of Oliver Springs and Billy Ogle of Knoxville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard, Harold, Henry, and B.C. Ogle, all of Knoxville; and Elmer Ogle of Charleston, SC.

A graveside service was held at Highland Memorial Garden in Knoxville on Monday. Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs was in charge of arrangements.
