Lenis William Ollis, 70, of Oliver
Springs died Sept. 6 at
his home. He was a member of Kellytown Baptist Church in Oliver Springs
and had taught Sunday
school there. Mr. Ollis worked as a heavy equipment operator before
retirement.
An Oliver
Springs native, he was the son of the late Jeffie and Reba Ollis. His
wife, Italy Mae Ollis, died in
1987.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Willie Lee and
Don Lawson of Oliver
Springs; granddaughters, Angela Ragsdale and husband, Ed Ragsdale of
Harriman; Valerie Woods
and husband, Don Woods of Oliver Springs; and Donni Lawson of Oliver
Springs, who lived with and
cared for Mr. Ollis. Also surviving is a sister, Margaret Campbell of
Oliver Springs; brothers, Otha
Ollis and Mitchell Ollis, both of Oliver Springs; great-granddaughter
Jessica Woods and great-
grandson, Jody Woods, both of Oliver Springs; and several nieces and
nephews.
The funeral
was held Sept. 8 at Kellytown Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Hensley
officiating. Burial was in
Fairview Cemetery in Oliver Springs. Sharp Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
