A retired Union Carbide
Corporation machinist,
James Lloyd Overton, 64, of Clinton Rt 2, died June 8, in Hernando, Fla.
Mr. Overton worked at the
Y-12 plant for 33 years.
He was a World War I I Navy veteran and a
member of the Elks
Lodge No. 1685 in Oak Ridge.
His parents were the late Rosie and
John
Overton.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Shell of Hernando
and Patricia Kinzle of
Summerfield, Fla.; two brothers, Raymond Overton of Knoxville and Paul
Overton of Clinton; sisters,
Nell Wood and Ruby Guy, both of Clinton; six grandchildren; several
nieces and
nephews.
The funeral was held June 12 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home
Chapel with the
Rev. James Cook officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge Memorial
Park.
