Alfred Anderson Owens, 79, of
Clinton Rt. 1, died
Saturday at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
A native of
Cartersville, Ga., he was
born Nov. 29, 1913.
Mr. Owens was self-employed for many years as a
construction worker.
He was a member of the World Tomorrow Church of God.
A veteran of
World War I I, he
served in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Smith Owens of
Clinton; daughter, Mrs.
Freddie (Beverly) Shropshire of Norris; granddaughter, Heather
Shropshire; several
cousins.
Private graveside services were held Monday at Norris
Memorial Gardens with the
Rev. Lowell Elkins officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge
of
arrangements.
