Garland Floyd Parker, 48, of the Clearview Community, Clinton Rt. 1, died Monday at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his father, Johnson Parker, and two brothers, Earl Dean and Willard Parker.

He was a construction worker and a member of Second Baptist Church.

Parker enjoyed fishing, gardening and yard work.

Survivors include his mother, Veia Parker of Clinton; sisters, Nettie Sue Parker of Clinton; Elyria Jane Roberts of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. John (Diane) Evans of Clinton; brothers, Jay Parker and Charles Daniel Parker of Clinton; two nephews, Chris Lee Roberts and John Hayden Evans of Clinton and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday at Holley Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Wright officiating. Burial will be in Taylor's Chapel Cemetery. The family will; receive friends 7 to 9 pm Thursday.
