A. Y. Partin, 79, of Jarnigan Chapel Road, Clinton Rt. 8, died Jan. 16 at his residence.

He was born Dec. 29, 1912, in Bell County, Ky., to the late Jim and Nan Hembry Partin.

A son, Tommy Partin, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Partin was a retired coal miner and at one time worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Reeda N. Partin of Clinton; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Jessie Duncan of Clinton Rt. 8; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Martin Clinton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James B. Potter officiating. Burial was in Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens.
