Clyde Parton, 70, of Clinton died Monday, April 1, 1996, in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Parton was the son of Marshall Parton and the late Jessie Gossnel Parton. He was retired from Tri-State Tractor in Dalton, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Gossnell Parton.
Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Ann and Dean Pressley, Charlotte Jean and Vern Messamore, both of Clinton, Wanda Sue and Randal Steelman of Oliver Springs, Mary Louise and Leroy Parton of Sevierville; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Mick Parton of Spring City and Everett and Shirley Parton of Sevierville; father, Marsh Parton; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren,; sister, Katherine Louise Grant of Oak Ridge; brothers, Frank and Gene Parton, both of Sevierville; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Family received friends 7 - 9 pm Wednesday, April 3, in Holley Gamble Funeral Home chapel, Clinton.
Graveside services are being conducted 10 am Thursday, April 4, in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Clinton, with the Rev. Joe Bridges officiating.
