A former Lake City man, Carl Robert Patterson, 43, of Kansas City, Mo., died July 29 in Kansas City.

Survivors include his mother, Hedda Elizabeth Patterson of Athens, formerly of Lake City; a son, Carl R. Patterson Jr. of California; four daughters, Mrs. Nancy Leeper, Mrs. Shelby Grant, Mrs. Shannon Powell and Mrs. Carla Velasquez, all of California; two brothers, Billy Joe Patterson of Athens, and Ronnie Patterson of Inglewood; six sisters, Nancy Hargarten of Chicago; Shirley Sanders of Colorado; Sharlotte Martin of Athens; Rosa De of Michigan; Sara Eaves of Athens; Hilda Wilhoit of Georgia; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. B. Ray Phillips officiating. Burial was in Patterson Cemetery in New River.
