Minnie Queener, 77, of Holyoke, Mass., formally of Lake City, died Jan. 17 at her home.
She was a retired hosiery knitter for Neeble Mills in North Carolina.
Mrs. Queener was a native of Lancaster, S.C., and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Springfield, Mass.
Her parents were the late Isaac and Alice Chent Whitley, Her husband, Robert Queener, died in
1970.
Survivors include two brothers, Henry Eugene Whitley of Lancaster, S.C., and Walter Whitley of Hemet, Calif.; four sisters, Julia Bush of Emerald Isle, N.C.; Loma Pressley of Charlotte, N.C.; Cornelia Cauthen of Lancaster, S.C., and
Lima Knight of Charleston, S.C.; and several nieces and
nephews.
Graveside services were held Wednesday (today) at Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens with the Rev. Tom Byrge officiating. Martin Funeral Home of Lake City is in charge of
arrangements.
