Mary Raines, age 75, of Oliver Springs passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, at her daughter and son-in-law’s home, where she had lived for the past two years.
Mrs. Raines worked for Park Hotel in Clinton and was a housewife. She was a member of Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church in Clinton.
Mrs. Raines was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Raines, who passed away Oct. 17, 1995, and by one sister and two brothers.
Survivors: son, Richard G. Hall of Clinton; son, Woodard Raines of Lake City; daughter, Rachel Patton of Oliver Springs; son, Bobby Joe Raines of Frost Bottom; sisters, Edith Shellenburg of Knoxville, Violet Moore of Maryville and Netlee Moore of Crossville; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, Aug. 5, in McCarty-Woodhaven Funeral Home.
Services were 8 pm Tuesday, Aug 5, in the chapel of McCarty-Woodhaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Daugherty and Rev. Bryson Pride officiating.
Interment was 11 am Wednesday, Aug. 6, in Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, Claxton.
