Robert Leonard Rainey, 63, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1996, in St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Mr. Rainey was a carpenter with M.K. Ferguson Co. in Oak Ridge before retirement. Member of Carpenters Local No. 50 in Knoxville. Member of Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 376 F. & A.M. Member of Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church.
Son of the late John and Shrelda Daugherty Rainey.
Survivors: wife, Ann Cooper Rainey of Clinton; daughter, Carolyn and husband Phil Morton of Maryville; sons, Wesley Rainey of Clinton, David Lynn and wife Sherry Rainey of Clinton, and Mark Rainey of Anticoh; grandchildren, Pete, Janice Ann and Robert Rainey; and Graig and K.K. Morton; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Rainey of Clinton; sisters, Mary Rainey of Clinton, and Martha Lou Braden of Clinton, brothers, Ralph Rainey of Mims, FL and Mack Rainey of Dayton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Family received friends 7-8:30 pm Thursday, Oct. 3, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home.
Funeral services were 8:30 pm Thursday, Oct. 3, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger officiating.
Interment was 10:30 am Friday in McCarty Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
