Lee C. Rains, 77, of Clinton, died Tuesday in his home.

Mr. Rains was a World War II veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maggie Rains.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Rains; sons, Richard Hall and Woodred Rains, both of Clinton, and Bobby Joe Rains of Oliver Springs; daughter, Rachel Lee Patton of Oliver Springs; sister, Geneva Rains of Clinton; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Friday in Anderson County Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Graveside service was 2 pm Saturday in Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, Claxton.

Anderson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
