Thelma H. Rainwater, 96, passed away Friday, May 21, 1999, at Windwood Health Care Center in Clinton.

Mrs. Rainwater was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Laura Hogue, and by her husband, Bruce Rainwater.

She is survived by sisters-in-law, Reba Hogue of Clinton and Jennie Rainwater of Dandridge, and by several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 6-8 pm Monday, May 24, at Anderson County Funeral Home in Clinton. The funeral service followed at 8 pm with the Rev. Joe Bridges officiating.

There was a graveside service at 2 pm Tuesday, May 25, in Hills Union Cemetery, Dandridge.

Honorary pallbearers were Marshall Emert, Don Hogue, Alfred Mardis, Ronnie Mardis, Roscoe Mardis, Larry Mardis and Kenny Mardis.
