Opal Ruth Rapier, 87, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, in Windwood Health Care Center.
She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Etta Worthington Alley, and husband, William Rapier.
She is survived by brothers, Lawrence and wife Ruth Alley of Andersonville, and Warren and wife Nancy Alley of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Family received friends 7-8:30 pm Friday, Jan. 31, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton.
Funeral services were conducted 8:30 pm, Friday, Jan. 31, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Roop officiating.
Graveside service were conducted 11 am Saturday, Feb 1, in Norris Memorial Gardens.
