Loy Clay Rayfield, 71, of Ridgeview Drive, Clinton, died Wednesday night at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge of injuries sustained in a fall.

He was born in Sevier County to the late Ashley and Ella Myers Rayfield. Mr. Rayfield moved to Anderson County in 1932.

Mr. Rayfield was a farmer. Family members said he enjoyed watching television and reading as pastimes.

He was a member of Farmer’s Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Carl Ray (Grace) Johnson; three brothers, Vernard, Oscar, and Roy Rayfield, all of Clinton; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Seeber and the Rev. Moss Beets officiating. Burial was Saturday morning at Farmer’s Grove cemetery.
