Mary Ann Hicks Roysden, 69, of Oliver Springs died Sunday, March 10, 1996, in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Roysden was a member of Grave Hill Baptist Church and she attended Rock Hill Baptist Church.
She was born April 6, 1926, in Anderson County. She was preceded in death by sons, James Roysden and Bruce Roysden; parents, William and Mattie Smith Hicks; and brother, Roy Hicks.
Survivors are husband of 53 years, Russell Roysden of Oliver Springs; daughters and
sons-in-law, Etta Ruth and John Matheson of Radcliff, Ky., Rena and Donald Olsen of Harriman, Edna and Bill Hayes of Vine
Grove, Ky., Margaret and Bobby Westmoreland of Kingston, Faye and William Killensworth of Elizabethon, Ky., Linda Sue and Charles White of Lake City, Billie and Richard Cornell of Kingston, Betty and Ricky Griggs of Oak Ridge, and Anna Harvey of Oliver Springs; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Rene Roysden of Elizabethtown, Ky., John and Renee Roysden of
Clinton, Jerry Roysden of Oliver Springs and Gary "Joe" Roysden of Oak Ridge; sisters, Helen Elliott of Lake City and Josephine
Lowe of Powell; brothers, Glen Hicks, Millard Hicks and James Hicks and wife Sue Hicks of Clinton; 44 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends, including special friends, Murl and Betty Jean Phillips and Rosella Carroll of Clinton.
Funeral services was 2 p.m.
Wednesday, March 13, in Cox Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Murl Phillips and Rev. Edwin Phillips officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant View Cemetery, Clinton. Family received friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, in Cox Funeral Home, Lake City.
