Ethel Vann, 89, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday at the Briarcliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Henry Vann.

Mrs. Vann was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. She was a past member of Elverton Baptist Church.

She moved to Oliver Springs from Pine Knot, Ky., in 1923. She was born in Pine Knot on Dec. 19, 1903.

Survivors include children, Margie Christine Goodwin of Bessemer, Ala.; Barbara Ann Ferguson of Oak Ridge; Henry Vann Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Lewis of Bessemer.

Services were held Tuesday in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Miller officiating. Burial was at Elverton Cemetery in Harriman.
