Ola Hooks Vann, age 85, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2001 at her residence.
She was born July 13, 1915 in Anderson County.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton. She retired from the former Magnet Mills in Clinton. Her hobbies were flowers and gardening.
Preceded in death by: husband, William G. Vann; son, Bobby Vann; parents, Samuel and Ada Ellis Hooks; son-in-law, Oscar Goans; sister, Hiley Webber, Alice Wilshire, Cindy Hicks; brothers, Ernest Hooks and Fred Hooks.
Survivors: daughters, Wilma Goans of Clinton, Shirley Adcock and husband Ross of Clinton; grandchildren, Billy Goans of Clinton, Lesia Rucker and husband Andy of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Tyler Warren and Heather Rucker; brother, Clyde Hooks of Clinton; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family received friends 6-8 pm Friday, April 20, 2001 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following in the chapel with the Rev. George Williams, the Rev. Gary Swaggerty and the Rev. Jim McPherson officiating.
Interment was 10:30 am Saturday, April 21, 2001 at Woodhaven Memory Gardens.
