Sam Vann, 73, of Clinton Rt. 2,
died Monday at his
home. Funeral services will be at 8:30 pm Wednesday at Holley Gamble
Funeral Home with the Rev.
Charles Harness officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 am Thursday at
Tennessee Valley Memory
Gardens.
Mr. Vann was born Oct. 3, 1918, in Coal Creek to the late
George W. and Betty
Martin Vann.
He had been employed by the Tennessee Valley Authority
Nursery. Mr. Vann
was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He had served in the Army
during World War I I

Survivors include his wife, Imgard Vann; sons and
daughters-in-law, David and Brenda
Vann and Frank and Ashley Vann of Clinton; daughter, Mrs. Ronnie (Sonya)
Miller of Chattanooga;
grandchildren, Nikki, Todd, Britney, Austin, and Zachary Vann and Charles
and Craig Miller; two great-
grandchildren; brothers, Doyle Vann of Elemere, Ky.; Earl Vann of
Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Marie Gadd
and Betty Holly of Cincinnati; several nieces and
nephews.
