Ershel “Herb” Vaughn, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Monday, March 31, 1997, in his home.
Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Vaughn and Susan Campbell Vaughn, and by his wife, Mellie Vaughn.
Survivors: daughters, Berdella Seavers and husband Eddie Tom of Coalfield, and Brenda Carroll and husband Bobby of Harriman; son, Dink Vaughn and wife Karen of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Tracy Tidwell, Jason Hendrickson, Justin Vaughn and Jordan Vaughn; and brother, Amos Vaughn of Dwale, KY.
Mr. Vaughn worked as a subcontractor for Boeing since 1982, in automotive maintenance. He was also a semi-retired auto salesperson. He was a native of Floyd County, KY, having lived in this area since 1960. He was a member of the Oliver Springs Church of God Mountain Assembly.
Friends may call between the hours of 6 and 8:30 pm Wednesday, April 2, at Sharp Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 8:30 pm Wednesday, April 2, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral home with the Rev. Wesley Dupuy officiating.
Burial and graveside services will be held 11 am Thursday, April 3, in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
