Mellie Vaughn, 65, of Oliver Springs, died Monday at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Her parents were the late Jay Mullins and Polly Jane Hall Mullins.

Mrs. Vaughn was a member of the Church of God of Mountain Assembly in Oliver Springs.

A native of Floyd County, Ky., she had been a resident of Oliver Springs for 33 years.

Survivors include her husband, Ershel (Herb) Vaughn of Oliver Springs; three children, Berdella and husband, Eddie Tom Seavers of Coalfield; Brenda and her husband, Bobby Carroll of Oliver Springs; Dink and his wife Karen Vaughn of Oliver Springs; three grandchildren, Tracy Tidwell, Jason Hendrickson and Justin Vaughn; four brothers, Frank Mullins of Kentucky, Boyd Mullins of Ohio; Hassle Mullins of Kentucky and Gene Mullins of Delaware; a sister, Ada Ridings of Oliver Springs.

Funeral services were Tuesday night at Sharp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Dupuy officiating. Burial was Wednesday (today) at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
