Pryse Venable, age 82, of Dairy Pond Road, Norris, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002 in Fruitland Park, FL.

He was a retired Owner-Operator of an Auto Repair and Body Shop.

He was born in Jackson County, KY and moved to Norris in 1970.

Mr. Venable was a member of Norris First Baptist Church. He was an active member of VFW and DAV and was a WWII veteran in the U.S. Army.

He also made and crafted Banjo’s for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by: parents and daughter, Teresa Venable.

Survivors: wife, Margaret Venable of Fruitland Park, FL; daughter, Judith Carol Morgan of Cincinnati, OH; sons, David Lee Venable of McKee, KY; Albert Dennis Venable of McKee, KY; and Ronald Gene Venable also of McKee, KY; brothers, Everette Venable of McKee, KY; Robert Venable of Lady Lake, FL; James Venable of McKee, KY; Billy Venable of McKee, KY; and Edward Venable of Fairfield, OH; sisters, Dolly York of Fairfield, OH; and Helen Hancock of Gilbertsville, KY. Thirteen grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and a host of beloved friends.

Services will be at Lake Funeral Home, McKee, KY.

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm on Monday, Jan. 7, 2002.

Funeral will be held at 11 am on Jan. 8, 2002.
