Joseph Marshall (Joe) Vinsant, 81, of Hill Street, Lake City, died Sunday at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Vinsant was born Oct. 30, 1911,
in Jacksboro, to the late Fred and Elizabeth Weir Vinsant. He and his wife, Mable Loving Vinsant, were married Dec. 29, 1934, in the Longfield community.

Nelson and Vance Vinsant preceded him in death.
Mr. Vinsant retired 19 years ago from the Tennessee Department of Conservation at Norris. He had previously worked as a coal miner at High Point Coal Co. in Caryville. He enjoyed woodworking as a pastime.
A resident of Lake City
for the past 58 years, he was a member of Longfield Baptist
Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jo Ann West of Arlington, Va., and Brenda and Gary Trusler of Knoxville; two sons and their wives, Fred and Oney Vinsant of Clinton and Luther and Vicci Vinsant of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Mary Ellen Allen, Eliza Hutson and
Katie Daughtery, all of Jacksboro; two brothers, Gerald Vinsant of Tampa, Fla., and Robert Vinsant of Vero Beach, Fla., and
13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 5 in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. George DeLozier, the Rev. Mitch Walker and the Rev.
Kenneth Bean officiating. Burial was Tuesday at Jacksboro
Cemetery.
