Ada VonGruenigen, 90, of Lexington, Ky., the mother of Rodney VonGruenigen of Clinton, died Friday in Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Lexington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl VonGruenigen.

Survivors include two other sons, Eldred VonGruenigen of Corbin, Ky.; Fred VonGruenigen of Kettering, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Bob (Marion) Johnson of Lexington; Mrs. Shannon (Janet) Johnson of Richmond, Ky.; Mrs. Jim (Carolyn) Walker of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Frank Gieszel of Corbin; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Taylor of Indiana, Mrs. Leona Tremper of Roanoke, Va.; 14 grandchildren, including Allison V. Keebler of Karns and LeighAnn VonGruenigen of Knoxville; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday in Vankirk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. C.H. Dudley officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.
