Blondell Stooksbury Wade, 75, of Clinton died Saturday, April 27, 1996, in Regency Health Care Center.
Mrs. Wade worked for approximately 20 years in the former West mall Nursing Home and Oak Ridge Hospital.
She was a member of Sinking Springs United Methodist Church. She loved collecting coins and antiques and writing stories and songs. She was preceded in death by her father, Lon Stooksbury, and husband, Charles Roy Wade.
Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Sherwood Foster, Charlene and Herman Williamson, Sue and Bill Alley, all of Clinton; son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Diane Wade of Clinton; mother, Zena Jane Mitchell Stooksbury of Andersonville; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bernice Schaffer of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Hazel Pitts of Knoxville, Frankie Dean and Fred Sexton of Dayton, Ohio, and Ruby and Ray Nelson of Clinton; brothers, R.C. and Rosella Stooksbury, Dallas and Jessie Stooksbury of Clinton; Bobby and Jane Stooksbury, Allen and Betty Stooksbury, Bill and Barbara Stooksbury, all of Andersonville; Lon and Lannie Stooksbury of Knoxville and Earl Stooksbury of Oak Ridge; several nieces and nephews.
Family received friends 7-8:30 pm Monday, April 29, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel, Clinton.
Funeral services were 8:30 pm Monday, April 29, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Harris officiating.
Graveside services were conducted 11 am Tuesday, April 30, in Sinking Springs Cemetery, Clinton. Pallbearers were Anthony Foster, Charles Archer, Shannon Alley, Jason Alley, Bruce Wade and Mitch Wade.
