Marion Woodrow Wallace, 80, of Kingston, died Friday in Harriman City Hospital.
Born Oct. 30, 1914, in Anderson County, he was the son of Doc and Hettie Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a truck driver for Interstate Inc. for 30 years. He had lived in Detroit, MI, and in Walland and Kingston. He was a member of Twin Oak Baptist Church, Walland.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Cox Wallace, stepsons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda Dishman of Clinton, Kyle and Loretta Dishman of Kingston and Charles Dishman of Harriman; special friends, Susan Dishman and Gary and Cathy Newby; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers-in-laws and wives, Walter and Helen Cox, Vinnie and Mary Alice Cox, all of Clinton; sister-in-law and husband, Mary Ruth and Kenneth Ensley of Kingston; several nieces and nephews, and one special niece, Evelyn Hillard of Strawberry Plains.
Funeral services was 8:30 pm Saturday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Ogle officiating.
Graveside service will be 2 pm Sunday in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends 7 to 8:30 pm Saturday.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
