Nora Lee Walls, age 92, born Oct. 8, 1910, in Oliver Springs, passed away in her sleep Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at the Oak Ridge Retirement Center.

She was a homemaker and a great mother. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Spurgeon B. Walls, who passed away in April 1981. Their infant daughter, Mary Lou, passed away in 1932 and their son Robert (Bobby) passed away in August 1990. Bobby’s son, Raymond Nealy passed away in 2001.

Survivors: daughters, Emily Vaughn and companion Joe Barnett of Fernandina Beach, FL, Esther Young and husband Grayson of Lanesville, IN; grandchildren, Robert (Bobby) Walls of Knoxville, Chris Duncan and wife Christy of Oliver Springs, Tony Young and wife Gina of Georgetown, IN, Beverly Adams of Spartanburg, SC; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends 6-8:30 pm Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at Sharp Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8:30 pm in the chapel with the Rev. Garvin Walls officiating.

Burial and graveside services were at 11 am Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at the Oliver Springs Cemetery.

Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
