A Walk With Ms. Kitty

Page 8

MMmmmm.. love the smell of Mother Earth! You can tell who has been here by the smell of the grass. That darned Patches has been here, too! Sometimes I see little creatures in the grass. Like lady bugs earth worms, wood roaches, beetles, all kinds of stuff! And the LEAVES!!!

I thought the colors of the leaves were too pretty to minimize so I ask Lee to leave the image width to 300 pixels. You should see them at 640 pixels!

Look at the color of these leaves! Come! Take a closer look!. Lee says it is 'December'...what ever that means, and that the leaves have lost a lot of their colors, but I still think these are pretty neat. She did saturate the colors some though, as there was no sun to glorify them. She says that is called "computer enhancement."

and look at the leaves on the Eucalyptus tree. How come they are still on the tree? Those other trees have lost their leaves.

Well, she told me that there are several kinds of trees, some are "deciduous" and loose their leaves each fall and the others are considered "evergreen" and they keep theirs. She said I may have to get a book about trees to learn more. Doesn't she know I didn't get to go to school????

Now the Eucalyptus is still 300 pixels wide but she minimized these to 210 width so it would down load quicker and they don't seem to have lost too much quality. The green under them is Monkey Grass or Liriope. It has a pretty purple spire of blooms in the Spring.
