Youth Hostelling around Loch Ness
The Seniors went Youth Hostelling in October. On the way to Inverness we couldn`t resist stopping to photograph this rainbow.
While staying in Inverness Youth Hostel overnight we encountered a site rarer than Loch Ness Monster sitings . . . Kevin smiling! (sorry Kevin).
Then came the long, foot-blistering walk to Loch Ness Youth Hostel down the western shore of the Loch
The weather was perfect for walking. The scenery was spectacular. But no sign of Nessie . . .
... until we arrived at Drumnadrochit. There she was wallowing in a pool beside the Loch.
At last . . . Loch Ness Youth Hostel. Time to relax those tired feet. What a lovely hostel - very homely, very comfortable.
Then the last leg of the journey to Fort Augustus.Tiring but very enjoyable. Then the long journey home - enjoying the beautiful scenery of Glen Coe . . . hey Kevin, WAKEN UP.
