Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Filling

4 cups mashed potatoes
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
2 slices bread, cut into small cubes
1 egg
4 tablespoons butter
salt and pepper, to taste

Saute onions and celery in butter until soft.  Then add the bread crumbs and toss lightly.
Mix with mashed potatoes.  Add remaining ingredients and put into greased casserole
dish.  Bake uncovered at 325-350 degrees for 1/2 hour.  Dot top with butter, if desired
for more flavor.

Great to make instead of stuffing the turkey or chicken.  Or, use left over mashed potatoes
from the dinner to make this as a side dish for a leftover turkey warm-up meal.
