Easy Cookies

Makes a small batch of about 18 yummy cookies, with several variations.
Children may get bored with making dozens of cookies; 18 is more their style!

Directions:

Cream:
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Add:
one egg yolk (or one egg white)
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

This is the plain recipe, or you can make variations.

To make cinnamon cookies:
Add: 1/4 tsp. cinnamon to batter and sprinkle tops of cookies with cinnamon and sugar mixed.

To make chocolate cookies:
Add: 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder to the batter.

Things you can add to the cookies before baking:

A handful of chocolate chips.
OR
A handful of oatmeal.
OR
A handful of raisins.
OR
A handful of chopped nuts (if child is over 3 years old).

OR: You might want to put a bowl of each of these on the table and let
the child add what they want to create their own cookies.

Bake: at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.

Note: If child "writes" out this recipe,
be sure to personalize it. Call them:
"Randy's Cookies" or
"Mandy's Great Cookies".
Or, let the child decide the name.
