1/2 pound butter
2 cups flour
2 cups chopped pecans
5 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon water
Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla and water.
Mix in flour. Add pecans, and mix
well. Using
portions about the size of a walnut, roll
into
crescent shape. Bake at 325 degrees
for 25
minutes. Roll warm cookies in powdered
sugar.
Cream together:
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
Then add:
3 cups flour
1 pound walnuts, chopped
1 pound dates, chopped
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in 1/2
cup warm water
4 egg whites, beaten stiff
Mix well and drop on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees.
