Alcy Abrams Will
Know all men by those present that I Alcy Abrams of the County of Hardin and State of Tennessee considering the uncertainty of this life and being of sound mind and memory do make, declare and publish this my last will and testament.
I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Wm F. Abrams my chest and wearing clothes and the books in said chest.
I give and bequeath to my son Joseph W. Abrams my bed and bed clothes and my oldest trunk.
I do give and bequeath to my grand son John F. A. Shelby my large new satchel and a part of the things in it such as sent him and if my mare has a colt, I wish him Jno F. A. Shelby and his sister Martha Josephine to have it.
I do give and bequeath to my grand daughter Martha Josephine Shelby my new trunk and a part of the clothing contained in it such as is necessary for her to have. But I wish the trunk and the contents to remain with my son Wm F. Abrams and his wife Sarah until she is capable of taking care of it.
I also give and bequeath to my son Wm F. Abrams a note which I hold on him and my boxes spinning wheel and card and all of my plunder and after all of my just debts are paid and my headstone bought and paid for, I wish the balance of my money which is on hand at my decease to be devided as follows to wit:
I give and bequeath to the heirs of my son James Robertson five dollars and the balance to be equally divided as follows: I give my son Wm F. Abrams and to my son Joseph W. Abrams and I give to my two grand children John F. A. Shelby and his sister Martha Josephine Shelby 1/3. I give and bequeath to my two sons W. F. Abrams and Joseph W. Abrams my mare. I nominate and appoint David Goreson? executor of this my last will and testament.
In testamony where of I swear to this my last will and testament subscribed my name and affixed my seal this the 27th day of January 1872.
