Welcome to the Murrieta Arena in sunny (most of the time) California!

This web page will show all of the upcoming events for the Murrieta arena as well as results for those shows. I'll try to keep some photos up of the different things that are going on. Anyone in the Southern California area is welcome to come on down and join in at any of the events. For those of you willing to drive from further distances, you are also welcome! Thursdays and Fridays are just for practice and beginners are always welcome. Even if you're just learning to ride a horse or you're starting a new horse on cattle, there is a place for you here in Murrieta! Also, anyone who just loves horses can come and watch for free.

The arena is located in Riverside County, just a few minutes north of Temecula on the 15 freeway. Take the California Oaks exit and head west, toward the hills. We are on the corner of Juniper and Adams. If anyone would like more specific directions, please e-mail me!

Some recurring events that are happening this summer at the Murrieta Arena:

Friday nights- Team Sorting practice starts at 7:00 p.m.--- signups are at 6:30 p.m.
On Friday nights for our sorting, we have a six week buckle series. High point in each division at the end of six weeks will win a belt buckle. So come and enter!
NOTE: you do not have to ride all six weeks to win a buckle. We have had people win after only riding four or five weeks but earning lots of points in those weeks. During the winter the sorting moves to Sunday afternoons. This happens around when the time changes, so send an email to make sure of the exact date we will be switching.
Check the Murrieta Bum Steers page for information on our horse club and the events that we will be hosting. The Bum Steers ride in parades, have playdays, hold clinics, have schooling shows, and go on trail rides. We are also contemplating starting a local equestrian drill team.

This is dedicated to our arena mascot, CINCO, who was sold due to the fact that he wouldn't stop growing! He was taller than most of our horses, and almost broke to ride! This was him as a calf.
