Even though we all work for the same company now known as Joy Global we generally know very little about each other and the conditions each of us work.
This has given me an idea that I think is worth considering. Since so many of us have computers and internet access with e-mail accounts; why not start a sort of web ring for the better communication of Joy employees. I know that many of us know very little about the parent company other than what we read on the board near the time clock. But we know even less about the people that put away the parts we pull, weld the fabricated items we make, or unload the trucks we load etc.
Since I have a web page with some extra space on my hands I thought I would list the e-mail address of company employees that wouldn't mind sending and getting questions from others working on the grass root level of the company.
Many of you know me and realize that I'm not some representative of Joy or any committee to bolster the moral of the bottom rung. I'm just a truckdriver that thinks maybe new technology may bring new opportunities.

A news paper that keeps an eye on the Joy situation is the
Derrick which is the local Franklin paper online. It doesn't have a story about the company everyday but it does keep an eye on things.
