THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH (REV5:5)
The Lion roars...
"Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah"
Rev5:5
Some time ago, a young man came to speak at our church. He was born and raised in Africa. This missionary told us about the lion. He said that in the jungles of Africa the animals call out to one another. If an elephant calls out, of course other elephants may answer, but a chimapnzee may also answer and screech back. Or a hippo could reply, or a zebra may whinnie in response.
The lion on the other hand, is diffenrent. when a lion roars, the only other animal that answers back is.... another lion!
Although Jesus is called the "Lion of the Tribe of Judah", the Bible also speaks of
another lion. But this one is an imposter.
In 1Peter5:8 the Bible says that the devil ... "goes about like a roaring lion." The Bible says we are to be " sober and vigilant". But many people fear that lion. We have the strength and power of the real Lion, the "Lion of the Tribe of Judah" behind us.
So I encourage you that, next time this imposter lion comes sneaking around
trying to frighten you with his roar... Just let the Lion of the Tribe of Judah
answer him back in your defence!
"Father I give you thanks for the Mighty "Lion of the Tribe of Judah"!
It is so good to know Father, that Jesus is the Mighty Warrior who fights for us.
Thank you for reminding me of that today Father."
