WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT....(MATT25:21)
Well Done Good and Faithful Servant....
Matt25:21

"His Lord said to him, 'Well done good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.'"

We have two really big dogs, whose names are Champ and K.C. (short for "Kings Canine").
Every morning at the crack of dawn they give the call to go outside to do thier bathroom duties. Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet nor hail will stop them from there little romp in the morning. They love it!
After they have had a few moments outside they "knock" (doggie style of course), on the door and I obediently go to let them in.
They have had no formal obedience training at all, but when they come in they both just stand inside the house. They both have their gaze firmly fixed on me, eyeball to eyeball. Their big brown eyes so serious. At that point I must reach down and give one a little pat on the head and say "Good girl" (to Champ), and then give the other a little pat on the head and say "Good boy" to K.C.. At that time they both then run me over to see who can get up the stairs first. They happily trot upstairs with tails wagging, held high.
Now, on the other hand if they should chase a cat or do some other naughty thing they don't get the pat on the head. I don't hit them if they do a naughty something, but you would think to look at them that I beat them. If they don't get their "Well done" pat on the head, they slink up stairs with tail between their legs and try to become invisible.
As we go threw our day, how often do we stop what ever activity we are endevoring to finish, to look to the Lord with that look of expectaion for approval.
We try to gain approval and acceptance from our boss, family, friends, neighbours, and accquaintances. But how often do we stop and ask the Lord "How am I doing? Is there anything in my life that You want me to change Lord?" Because really, when it comes down to the crunch, and everything is stripped away the only One we need to be concernd about pleasing is the Lord. For it is only He who is worthy of our efforts. In the end all that matters is to hear His sweet avoice say "Well done good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord."
"Lord, how am I doing? Is there anything in my life that You want me to change? Lord, all the praise from others means nothing. The only praise I need to hear is you. My deepest desire is to hear You say "Well done good and faithful servant...."
