Charlie and Bessie had two sons, Lester and Vester. I found the cemetery listing for Memorial Park Cemetery in Jefferson County, Arkansas. It listed Charley, Bessie and Lester as being buried there. It showed Lester was born July 11, 1920 and died January 24, 1983. This is Vester's birth date and death date, not Lester's! Whoever was transcribing the cemetery must have read the tombstone wrong.
Debbie J. Mulherin has informed me that Lester died when he was 17 or 18 years old and is buried around the Scranton, Arkansas area. Debbie was married to Ronnie Gene Birge, Vester Birge's son.
