Once upon a time, so long ago that the Atlantic Ocean was just a pond and Moby
Dick was just a guppy, there was a little known island nation called SCHNAUZ.
The inhabitants were a very advanced civilization who referred to themselves as
Citizen Canines. Because SCHNAUZ was plagued by earthquakes the population
felt they would be safer if they searched for a more stable land mass to call home.
Evacuation began as the island was being broken up by the latest, if not the last,
earthquake to ravage SCHNAUZ. My ggggrandfather Aristotle Von Schnauzer and
my ggggrandmother Mini Von Schnauzer were elected by the population to command
the lead ship - The Gigantic!
The crossing was a difficult one as there was little time to pack enough provisions
for the trip. Fortunately for them the trip was only 12 hours and all of them survived
inspite of the threat of starvation that faced them.
The new land mass they found exceeded their small island by thousands of miles.
While it seemed like there was plenty of land for all passengers on board
The Gigantic, there was one minor detail....the land was already occupied by strange
two legged beings. Aristotle Von Schnauzer was elected by the rest of the passengers
to negotiate some type of cohabitation agreement with these strange two legged beings.
It is now a matter of history, the West was purchased for 24 cookies (milkbones ®
had not been created by ggggrandmother Mini yet, but that's another story).
It took the citizen canines weeks to locate the West since there were no
maps of the area available and no one brought a compass (whatever that is).
Once suitable land was found and cleared, the citizens started building a
town which they called Schnauzerville - in honor of my ggggrandparents.
Below is a picture of Mini and Aristotle Von Schnauzer taken on Main Street.
Unfortunately, Schnauzerville is no longer the quiet ranching community
that my family founded so long ago. The name was changed to Quartz Hill. The
population has increased and we now share our land with the two legged "natives"
that call themselves humans, but it's still home sweet home to me!
My family history is not complete by any means, stay tuned for updates as I
continue to dig up more roots from my family tree.
NOTE: No Schnauzers were harmed in the making of this page and all
characters, real or imagined were portrayed by Michele.
