The Lucy & Me collection was designed in 1979 by Artist Lucy Rigg from Seattle Washington. She started out as a street artist and now almost 20 years later is still designing bears for the Enesco Company. The original bears were called RIGGLETS and were made for the first year or so. They then changed the name to Lucy and Me.I started collecting Lucy & Me Bears in about 1983 and have over 1000 of them to this point. I am also a member of the Lucy Bears and Us East Collectors Club, The Lucy & Me Collectors Club #1 of Bellevue Washington. Both clubs have newsletters on Lucy & Me bears and members from all over the world involved in them. I have had the opportunity on several occasions to meet with Lucy Rigg at signings that were held in the area.
I am always searching for the older Lucy and Me Pieces that I have missed so I can complete my collection. I currently have 16 Rigglets in my collection. One of my most recent finds was a Jack in the Box I found while on vacation in Florida. I also found 2 Rigglets at the same time. It was a nice surprise!
