This 10" round cake was iced in Buttercream icing and all the decorations were made of Buttercream. The baby and toys were made of thickened buttercream and molded out of it. The sides were done with a tube 104 and a tube 3 over pipe for the bead. The bottom border was a tube 18 and overpiped with a tube 3 in two shades of brown. The baby was done in a chocolate mold for the body and the clothing was made by rolling out some of the thick buttercream and cutting out the dress. Her hair was piped on with a tube 1.
The bride cake was for a shower, it is a 9X13 sheet cake covered in rolled fondant icing. The bottom border is done with a tube 18 shell boarder. The flowers are made of gumpaste and wired together for the spray on the end.
The bride was silk screened on with a mixture of liquid chocolate and cocoa.
This buttercream sculpture I did for a cake show and it took 1st place and Best of Show awards. It is all done in buttercream icing and cake with wood supports for the legs. The icing was piped on with a tube 12 them smoothed out with a paint brush and hot water. The arms are actaully marshmallows and attached to the body then covered in icing.
