This 8" round cake was made by cutting off a piece of the bottom of the cake about 1 1/2 inches. It was then covered in Pink Rolled Fondant on the front and sides as well as the back. The board was also covered in matching fondant. The butterful was cut out with a gumpaste cutter. The Lace pieces were made with a number 1 tube and royal icing. When they were dry they were placed on the number 3 bead boarder around the top back of the cake. The Gumpaste roses were all made without cutters and wired together, then placed on the top of the cake. One single Rose lays along side of the top portion of the cake that was cut. This portion that was cut also is covered in fondant.
