After 1663, Canada is managed directly by the Sovereign Council in Québec, reporting to the government of France, through the Ministry of the Navy. The monopoly of the Compagnie des Cents Associés is cancelled. The sea traffic increases dramatically, with many ships now based in Québec plying the triangular route of Canada - West Indies - Europe. A few of these were also corsairs (privateers) on occasions.
I have added ( 81 entries) a few known ships for the period after 1666 with the scant information I found about them. This probably represents less than 5% o f the traffic.
