UP... UP... and AWAY...

From now on, "floating on a cloud" will have a new meaning for Leah McGuire, an 8th grader at Lone Oak Middle School.

 

Saturday, July 12, 1997, Leah and her dad, Charles, took off from the parking lot at Kentucky Oaks Mall for an early morning ride over Paducah.

 

Later they had a feather light landing in a field between I - 24 and Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
