Our Computer System -

- Jim's Puters -

HP N5430 Laptop - AMD Athlon 850 MHz, 512MB RAM, CDRW, 14" LCD.
- Donna's Puter - Dell Dimension 4550 P4 2.0GHz, 512MB RAM, CDRW, DVD Rom, 15" Dell LCD.
- Kim's Puters - Home Built by Jim P4 2.6GHz, MSI Mobo, 768MB RAM, CDRW, DVD Rom, 19" Dell CRT Monitor, HP Deskjet 895CXI Pro Color Printer.
IBM Thinkpad T40 Laptop - P4 M 1.5 GHz, 768MB RAM, DVD Rom, 14" LCD.
- Brianna's Puter (Yes the 3 year old has her own puter, plus can't keep her hands off of all the others) - HP Vectra 1GHz P3, 512MB RAM, DVD Rom, 19" Princeton CRT Monitor.
All the above Puters and periferals are networked together so everyone has access to everything on the system and all have access to the net at FAST cable speed ... Often times in excess of 3 Gig!
Amazingly, I have less invested in everything on the system listed above than I did on my first internet puter back in 1996, a Compaq 4770 200 MHz Pentium MMX machine that with printer, cost just shy of $3000. By building a lot myself and watching for bargains, I don't have $3000 in everything on my current entire home network system.
