SEVENTH BORN CHILD OF CONRAD AND CAROLINE (ROLFENK) LAMPMANN:

"Augusta" Sophie Friederike Luise Lampmann was born 16 March 1882 in Hannover, Germany. She was brought up in the Lutheran faith. She came to the US with her family arriving in New York 19 June 1885 by way of Bremen/Southampton on the passenger ship "Rhein".

She lived all of her life in South Dakota. Augusta staked a claim in Newell, South Dakota around 1910 prior to marriage. Augusta was 29 years old when she married Christopher William Schumann, 14 September 1911 in Belle Fourche, Butte County, South Dakota. Christopher was 33 years of age. They had 2 children.

Augusta died 2 January 1968 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Deadwood, Lawrence County, South Dakota at the age of 85. Cause of death cancer/carcinoma of the pancreas. She is buried in Mountain Lawn Cemetery, Lead, South Dakota.

Christopher William Schumann was born 31 March 1878 in Marshalltown, Marshall County, Iowa. He died 24 March 1933 in Marshalltown, Marshall County, Iowa at the age of 54. His cause of death was chronic Bright's disease. He is buried in Silent City Cemetery, near Kellogg, Iowa.
