Music playing... "Wind Beneath My Wings"

Now, can't you just see her? Walking those golden streets in Heaven, singing with the angels, helping out with all the children & best of all... seeing Jesus face to face! This is what Steph had prepared herself for... going to Heaven. And I can just hear those sweet words she must've heard as she stepped through the Golden Gates...

"Well done my good & faithful servant!!"

I know we all miss her & I can't even think of life without her, but I do praise the Lord that I know where she is... in the arms of God. She was not only my sister-in-law, but my friend & my confidant. I still find myself getting online looking for her screen name or wanting to forward a wonderful story to her. Then it hits me that she isn't there to receive them anymore. I keep plenty of Kleenex handy, that's for sure. And when I don't know what to do in a situation (that I would usually talk to her about) or if I just think of something I want to say, I go outside, look upward & just talk to her! I don't know if she can hear me or not, but I like to think she can!! I know it sounds crazy, but it does make me feel better. And if she can't hear me, I just say, "Lord, if Stephanie can't hear me, will you please give her the message?" One way or another, I know she hears us all.

MISS ME - BUT LET ME GO

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me - but let me go

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss me - but let me go.

Knowing Stephanie, she wouldn't want any of us to cry or mourn for too long. She would've wanted us to rejoice because she went "home" & is free from the pain of this crazy world we live in! What a wonderful assurance we as Christians have when we know where this life is taking us! Heaven must be a joyful place... I don't know about you, but I can't wait to get there!
