One Lonely Rose

While walking on a desert road one day
I looked across a field so far away.
I thought to myself, "what is this place?"
I walked on a little farther and to my surprise
I saw a rose growing on the right side.

I thought again what this could mean
Was someone playing a trick on me?
And then a sweet voice spoke so free;
"My child, you've seen what I wanted you to see.
I have so many things in my garden above,
But that one little rose was sent for you, from Jesus, with love".
